Born in Milan in 1976. In her early youth, she carries on piano and musicological studies. In 2001 she takes her degree in History of Music at Università Statale degli Studi di Milano, with a dissertation about the relationship between Italian musicians and the Viola d’amore in the first half of the Eighteen Century. In 2004 she graduates as Master Luthier at the Civica Scuola di Liuteria di Milano. Subsequently she serves, in Milan, an apprenticeship with M° Pierre Bohr, who teaches her a valuable method for making viols, and from 2006 she regularly attends the atelier of M° Federico Lowenberger in Genova, from whom she learns the importance of the historical-philological respect in reproducing baroque violins and bowed instruments of the viol family. These teachings enable her to engage in the construction of other kinds of instruments from Baroque period and the Renaissance, such as viella, lira da gamba (or lirone), baryton and violone.
